Woah. That's insane. That's why I'm banned form there. Post about news related to reddit alternatives, banned. Talk about reddit mobile clients, not banned. Apparently they just got a new rule in the last day or so to refocus the discussion, which is good. Obviously they saw there was a problem.
We'll see if they ever realize they were the source of the problem.
Possibly what motivates the reddit client discussion and subs discussions, is it does make sense that a sub of people who have shown interest in reddit alternatives but are still inexplicably on reddit, really do feel at their most sub-conscience level that reddit is the only option that actually exists. They wouldn't know how to get off of reddit if they wanted to. Because they do want to, and are on it.
They are arbitrary in their "rules" and just use them to parallel reconstruct any reason they want to ban someone for wrongthink. And when they can't even find a valid reason, they just do it anyways.
Arbitrary moderation, ego, and hypocrisy is no way to run a forum - especially a forum for freedom, truth-seeking, communications, community, and a desire to grow, allegedly.
That's almost every post on reddit now. If it doesn't align with the few curated opinions you're allowed to have, or topics you're allowed to talk about, it goes in the shadowban hole. Reddit is the North Korea of the Internet.
It might be worth mentioning where people have gone.

Promoting violence is okay, so long as it's towards the "right" people: https://old.reddit.com/r/comics/comments/1pqmuk6/just_gonna_leave_it_hereoc/
Like M7 was.
what was your gripe about saidit being "arbitrary"? It's one of the most loosely moderated forums I know of.

Developed in response: https://projex.wiki/wiki/FOEPATCHISM
Seems loosely moderated as it was common to get the n-word on the front page.
I don't see the issues you do. Could you explain what "reddit moments" they had?
The Reddit rollercoaster is too extreme and going too fast for them to safely get off.

Double plus good.
Yeah, we need a less censored alternative to /r/RedditAlternatives/
But all the names are taken or can't be registered. I tried. The pig latin may be the right angle.
/r/FringeDeplorables ?
The string "Reddit" is forbidden from what I understood? Maybe just /r/RAlternatives then?
I guess if it's a dead site it's not really a Reddit alternative anymore
Great point, though former alternatives are also mentioned in the list, like Voat.
How about can you make a post about this site, or will it get deleted?
