If cops have a capacity to protect businesses then businesses have the same capacity. Where do the cops derive their capacity? From the businesses that always had it.
So businesses burn not because of a lack of policing. But because the police prevent victims from protecting themselves. If businesses were given carte blanche to protect themselves against violent mobs. Opportunistic mobs wouldn't exist.
No, I guess real bullets would prevent it from burning down. France does not have 2A protection as the USA does. Business owners need bouncers and security guards to keep the rioters away and use real bullets.
