Maybe it is, or maybe this is nothing.
I saw a little fox news. No real news. These are people who will make news out of anything. Hmm, seems odd. This can happen if there is a story they are dodging. If it's partisan, maybe CNN will be useful for once. Nothing burger stories on their site too.
Maybe I should be happy. Absolutely nothing is going on with politics. I want the world to move on and re-apply more focus to other things that matter. There is so much more that matters. So much worth thinking about besides politics. So why am I of all people complaining? Because it's odd for Fox News and CNN to let go of hyper sensational stories. When they do it, something's off. It would be healthy for anyone else to do it.
Or maybe I should just be happy that exaggerated and over-serious politics is the last thing on people's plates for once, including Fox and CNN. If the world improves am I reasonable to view it with suspicion?

Because of the biased narratives at many news agencies, I've relied for two decades on news aggregator websites (mainly Reddit) to read the news, while also reading news from the top central group here: https://adfontesmedia.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/08/MBC-1.0.jpg (Guardian, Economist, NPR, Reuters, AP, MSNBC, BBC, while also Al Jazeera, and specific news subs at Reddit) That simplified chart is from August 2022. Other than the TYT, HuffPost, Rachel Maddow, and Rolling Stone, I don't recognize and have not read much of the other news media on the left. Moreover, the Times, WP, and CBS and some others have shifted significantly to the right since last year.
One of the reasons I spent more time at Saidit in recent years was to see what the far right were thinking (as I often noted at the site), without having to read far right misinformation propaganda at FOX and elsewhere. I also created a sub on Saidit that kept track of all of the far right news media companies, which increased a lot in the past 10 years. 10 years ago, any of us could start a far right news media company and would be guaranteed a $100k salary at the outset, and potentially millions thereafter. Donors would back these new websites.
If there were more news on goatmatrix, I could be here more often, because I am a news junkie.
The big news yesterday - which was not easy to find in any US news media - was that, "Trump administration to pay German firm $1.2bn to halt US wind projects" : https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c1e1vg0gjl5o That's without question a corruption of US taxpayer interests for the sake of the oil industry, Russia, Saudi Arabia, climate change, a small number of wealthy assholes, and climate disasters that today's children will later deal with.
If independent media will cover the important corporate crap as well as the not-covered issues, why waste any time and why settle for manufactured corporate media "news" at all?
Give up the political theatrics and bread and circuses to think for yourself.
Break your addiction that gets you no further ahead with no real answers.
Climate change is a $cam - as are most "green" $olution$, while authentic solutions are suppressed.
If the climate was a priority they wouldn't be building thousands of data centers and would focus on reducing bloat (on ev.er.y.thing, not just software) and improving effectiveness, efficiency, and elegance (in all things too).

There is ALWAYS stuff going on worth reporting.
The global monetary and geopolitical shift this year is the biggest thing in our lifetime - and corporate media is not covering it at all.
Inflation will rocket soon.
Starvation will destroy populations.
It's going to get much much much much much much much much much much worse.
