I've made a math game we could play. We'll see how it goes.

Atop a mountain live a hand full of omnivoric tigers. And this mountain is capped by the greenest grass you've ever seen. One day a cursed sheep appears on the mountain. There is something peculiar about this sheep. For one it is made of meat. But for two anyone who eats this sheep also becomes a cursed sheep. It is impossible for a tiger to share a meal of sheep.

Now the tigers are named @x0x7, @LarrySwinger, @JasonCarswell, @Tom_Bombadil. They number four in total unless someone shows up really fast. Their sole interest in life is to live or die with as much money as possible.

Now all the tigers had put money into a pool to make things interesting. Anyone who eats a sheep will get a share of this pool. And the pool starts at $100. But if a tiger dies in any way he must put $100 more into the pool for being a suka who died. The tigers all assume each one is perfectly rational.

If you look up this math problem there is a simple solution but I want to gamify it by adding one extra dimension.

Tigers can also just straight up kill each other. Any tiger with a power level +30 over another tiger can kill that tiger but must pay off any tigers living at the time of the murder with $25 each.

I've done the math and it will be more fun with more tigers. So everyone gets two. We'll say they want to maximize household net worth.

It is worth seeing what's going on with a version where we each only have one, so consider what people would do if this were the setup:

PWR Tiger
18 @x0x7{1}
19 @JasonCarswell{1}
68 @Tom_Bombadil{1}
76 @LarrySwinger{1}

Two tiger variant

PWR Tiger
14 @x0x7{1}
18 @x0x7{2}
19 @JasonCarswell{1}
37 @LarrySwinger{1}
42 @Tom_Bombadil{1}
43 @JasonCarswell{2}
68 @Tom_Bombadil{2}
76 @LarrySwinger{2}

Let's play the 1 tiger version first. If I can get even one more person to show up that version should be good enough. Nest your moves down a comment tree so we can know the move order.

I made an imperfect solution to the one tiger variant with 4 players here:

Spoilers. Don't read it. Let's play the game.

Should I retune the values? There are a lot of ways you could make variations. I could even add probability to this with a !D20: 16 command for attacks. You would not be allowed to edit or delete your comment if it has a !D20: 17 in it.

I did end up implementing dice rolls: https://goatmatrix.net/c/MatrixDev/EQF6vXHf1H

1 tiger variant game:

x0x7 knows he's basically sure to be dead no matter what. He eats the sheep to get in on the pool.

In what order do we move and how much money do we put in the pool?

I eat x0x7 and pays Tom_Bombadil and Menorah7 $25 each. (I'm not sure what @Tom_Bombadil's actual move was I'm just taking it as a joke but let's say this is the second move in the game and I'm paying Tom and Jason that amount.)

Edit: can I change my move? Actually I would like to devour Jason instead.

This is fake money but we all put enough that the initial pool is $100, so $25 each.

But it will help us identify move order if we reply to comments. Then top level comments can be considered a separate game. I'm not 100% sure if Tom's move was a joke. I guess. If it wasn't he killed Jason.
