Legitimately pisses me off that when I paid for ad-free on Prime, they just replaced product placement with adverts for Prime videos and Prime TV series. Stopped paying immediately. Over advertising is what led to me no longer watching YouTube, what's the actual point of watching a 5 minute video if there are 2 minutes of ads?
I might not mind if they said it's happening whether you like it or not - BUT - you can choose what ads you see. Then you could be informed/amused/coerced as you prefer.
Speaking of ads, I saw an interesting one. It used the phrase "free after subscription." Well I hope so. Then I realized, 3/4th of the content is paid after subscribing to prime.
So now you pay after you pay and see ads.
Though this isn't really a modern trend. Newspapers and magazines did it first. And television in general.

Great - subscription rates should be 100x what we they are now. Read books instead.
