Dell does have a commercial reason to say that. They corner the market for cheap mobos, cheap cooling, and cheap cpus, in a cabinet too compact to fit a graphics card. I think that's a great product. I'm not knocking them for it. It's absolutuely what a standard computer should be. And they do high volume at the minimum of that standard.
AI and Windows 11 fucks that up for them. Because Windows is a business product and Dell is a business product, Windows shipping something that isn't going to be compatable with cheap OptiPlex models completely fucks Dell's model.
They are still correct though. But like any company they stay it for a reason.
