Blueberries were once very hard to domesticate.

I picked a bunch in Muskoka (tiny but tasty) and made the best milkshakes I'd ever had. Also, made syrup for pancakes in Temagami with my parents as a kid - best syrup ever. Could be fond recollections - or they actually tasted better wild in the 1980s.
