The funny thing about the abiogenic hypothesis is then it opens a logical route for global warming fears to maybe be legitimate. Otherwise not. If oil only came from carbon fixing life, then if you burned all of the oil you'd only be returning carbon that was once in the atmosphere. It would be unlikely to end up at a level where life was in-viable.
But if oil is abiogenic then you don't have that cap.
