The problem is the dotcom crash didn't remove Google's market domenence or large-scale surveillance technology. Sure AI will crash. But the next corporate masters of the world will come out of it. There is still a jeany that can't be put back in the bottle.

The crash just means we'll experience some mass layoffs and a lot of people under water on a mortgage. It's not going to reverse any of the technology.
